ABOUT CHR

Community Housing Resource Inc. (CHR) was formed in 1996 as a private company whose mission is to provide affordable housing opportunities for year-round residents of Cape Cod.  We develop and manage rental and ownership housing in Provincetown and Truro, with additional developments underway in Wellfleet.

We work in partnership with many public and private entities to provide and maintain quality homes.  Our financial partners include the MA Department of Housing and Community Development, The Life Initiative, MA Affordable Housing Trust Fund, MA Housing Partnership, MA Housing Investment Corporation, Barnstable County HOME Consortium, and local lending institutions.

Upon completion of construction at Gull Pond Road, CHR will have created 156 year-round homes, 55 art studio workspaces, and 11 commercial spaces.   CHR is in the process of developing an additional 14 year-round homes.  Upon completion of these developments, CHR will have created 170 homes, of which 75% are affordable.  CHR is the largest provider (public, private, non-profit, or government entity) of affordable housing on the Outer Cape.
